The End is Getting Closer!

Three Months, that's it! We have three months to get our beloved All My Children picked up by another network.
There is no news from Hollywood on whether or not this will happen, so to add a bit of fun, let's all make up the perfect ending for the show.
I want everyone to Twitter @trishacullen, follow me and in 140 characters or less tell the world what you think would be the best ending ever. What do you think they should do with Erica, Greenlee, Kendall, ZACK (please come back!), Bianca, JR (something bad, I hope!) and DIXIE - have you seen her lately?
I know how creative all of you are and I know that you will come up with some hysterical, weird and just plain crazy plots for the end!
Also, because TPWB at ABC are nixing everything good in daytime TV, let's all get on the bandwagon and Twit Rosie O'Donnell @rosie and tell her to PLEASE come back to daytime television! How fantastic would that be?
One last shout out today - Yeah New York! Great job on passing  The Same Sex Marriage Law! Bravo! (I really mean BRAVO! They are all going bonkers with excitement at that network)!

THE ALL MY CHILDREN ONE MILLION LETTER PETITION DRIVE TO KEEP IT ON THE AIR

What You, The Loyal Fan Need to do to Save the Show (and it's pretty easy)!

ALL of us fans need to get off of our laptops for a moment and get pen and paper together and write to the producers of All My Children so that they can take our letters to other networks as leverage to get back on the air. Our letters will show a strong fan base that is worldwide and willing to support the show if it were to move to another network.

What YOU need to do to save the show! Simply write as many letters as you and your friends can! They need to be in a specific sized postcard or envelope. Here is the link to get address and all of the fine print in regards to what TPWB will accept:

http://www.fanmail.biz/29909.html

What to write: A lot of letters! Have each letter tell a different story about how AMC affected your life or how long you have watched it, or how it got you through a tough time. Tell them about your favorite characters and if it were to come back what you would like to see.

Let's Go Viral!

Also, PLEASE email, Facebook and tweet EVERYONE you know and ask them to pass this blog on to others! The more hits this blog gets, the more leverage it will receive on a search engine, so when TPWB, news agencies and other media are covering this story we may get lucky enough to get some media coverage! If that happens we could reach a TEN MILLION LETTER PETITION DRIVE!

How the World of Entertainment Works

When all is said and done in the world of entertainment, the network heads ONLY care about the bottom line. However, many shows have been saved by moving them to a new network when the shows fans come out in droves sending truckloads of letters telling the producers how much they love the show and want it to stay on the air. Please, do not send your letters to the network because they have already decided and that is a done deal, All My Children will be leaving ABC.

CONTEST!!!

We are having a contest where you can win an ALL MY CHILDREN gift set! It will be full of wonderful AMC memorabilia for you to enjoy!
Here is how to enter! First, sign up as a follower, that is pretty simple. Then pledge to write at least ten letters (I am trusting you on this one!) Then email me a photo of yourself along with at least one of your letters. Make it fun, be creative! (i.e. putting it in your mailbox, taking it to the post office, or something way better than that! You guys are so creative you blow my socks off!  Then, just email your photo as an attachment to trishacullen1@gmail.com. It's that simple! I will only accept photos received by the end of April, 2011 for the drawing. Legal note: (sorry), by submitting your photo to The All My Children One Million Letter Petition Drive Blog you agree to have your photo posted on this site.
Who knows? You may be seen by some of the stars and crew of AMC!

How Do We Say Goodbye? WE DON'T!

On 4/15/2011 (I thought taxes were bad enough), after 40 years of watching AMC, I heard the news, All My Children had been cancelled. What? Is somebody playing a joke? It can't be true! Some people just don't get why fans can be so upset about a soap opera going off the air. But, it's simple, the have all become All our Children.

How many of us can say that we have had someone in our lives for 40 years and they have never left our side five days a week? I know it's just a TV show, but it is more than that. It's families we have loved and lost; The Martins, The Chandlers, The Cortlands, The Hubbards and, of course, those beautiful Kane women.

How do we say goodbye? Well, we are going to try damn hard not too and THIS is how we are going to do it; The AMC Million Letter Writing Campaign!
